Reverse Town Hall | First Nations to Government Knowledge Sharing | First Nations Youth: bridging the gap between community and opportunity
First Nations youth often have to leave their communities to access education and career opportunities. Hear from three BC First Nation youth - Karista Olson, Shoshoni Andrew, and Dylan Daniels - as they share their views on why First Nations youth leave their communities, why they do or do not choose to return, and what those choices mean for their connection to culture and community. Howard Grant, Councillor Musqueam and Executive Director First Nations Summit will provide opening and closing comments, speaking to the impact youth leaving and returning can have on a First Nation and what the federal public service can do to better support First Nations youth, so they don’t have to make that choice or to get the best of both worlds when they do.

This is a joint FNPSS – BCFC Secretariat event under the Strengthening Public Service Institutions Initiative
